Parent Support
We all need a shoulder to lean on
Immune compromised children are not the only ones living in isolation. Their parents live that lonely life right alongside them. The solitary lifestyle, the fear of germs and the limited activities takes its toll on parents. In addition to worrying about the health and well-being of their children, parents are also dealing with the financial burden and stress of medical bills as well as the loneliness that isolation creates. When we open the doors to Lily’s Pad, we will not only be providing a fun and interactive space for children, but a place for parents to find respite from their journeys as well. The Lily’s Pad family is growing in numbers everyday and we are here to help you navigate the world of the immunosuppressed child. The parents participating as mentors have either lived through the isolation or are living in it today. They are here to help you by providing support and advice if that is what you seek or even just an ear to listen. You may have to live quarantined, but you don’t have to do it alone! Please fill out the contact form below and we will connect you with another parent that just “gets it”!
